Just a week after the 99th Millrose Games the crowds were lined up outside the Randal Tyson Track Center in Fayetteville, Arkansas for more elite track action. A special buzz was in the air with hometown favorite Wallace Spearmon seeking a world record in the 300 meters, and he did not disappoint as he lowered the mark to 31.88. He also led Kerron Clement and Lashawn Merritt under the previous best as all three broke the 32 second mark. The 4 x 400 relay team of Spearmon, Clement, Williamson and Wariner shattered the previous USA indoor best by clocking 3:01.96.
